special inspection

All work shall be supervised, inspected and certified to be in compliance with the plans contained in the construction documents. The Engineer will fill in routinely an inspection log of every inspection in format specified by the City to communicate with the City Inspector and contractor. In case of faulty work, the Special Inspector will produce a Non-Conformity report shared with Contractor and Owner. Other tasks of the Special Inspector includes measurement of quantities completed by the contractor to recommend payment on contractor's  applications for payment and submit the final inspection affidavit of compliance to the city for closing the permit.

 

Structural Threshold Inspection during construction by a Licensed Engineer registered as Special Inspector under Chapter 471 Florida Status as regulated by the Florida Building Code 2014 section 109.3.6.2. The Special Inspector will be responsible to inspect the work and report any deficiency or change not complying with the specifications and permit documents to the Engineer of Record and City Building Official.
